Bands and performers, you're all brilliant, many of you are my friends, but please don't call me for gigs unless you know that your name will bring out a crowd in our area on a foggy November Saturday. We put bums on seats by the strength of the name on the poster and also on their (and our) mailing list.

We love intelligent music designed for a listening audience and we like it served up with a sense of humour and a dash of panache. Birdsedge Live presents the best national and international folk and acoustic performers in an intimate 90-seat venue on the edge of the Pennines. You'll find us on the A629 about nine miles south of Huddersfield and four miles north of Penistone. Doors open at 7.00 for all evening performances. Music starts prompt at 7.30 with the main guest (no support act). Afternoon workshops start at 2.00 p.m. and doors open at 1.30. There's a bar in thr evenings and also tea, coffee and delicious home baked cakes. For workshops we provide tea and coffee.
All access is level and we are happy to make space for wheelchairs upon request but please note until the hall's alterations are complete (2009) the WCs are not wheelchair accessible. If this is a problem please call us in advance and we can arrange for the nearby church facilities to be made available. 01484 606230
