Whenever the members of Birds of New York combine their extremely different backgrounds and musical influences, a unique and beautiful thing takes place. This Los Angeles based band draws inspiration from a wide array of genres such as alternative, pop and punk. This diversity is what Birds of New York uses to inspire their sound. Their goal is to write GREAT songs that are filled with honesty and passion. Something that everyone and anyone can relate to.

Lead singer Ryan White has the unique ability to communicate with the masses through his lyrics, as shown by his previous musical project Resident Hero. When he asked keyboard player and long time friend Jason Gaviati to write some music together, they began to create songs that would change their future. In the heart of Hollywood at Jason's small apartment, songs such as "Give me a reason" and "Incandescent world" were born. The demos of these songs fell unexpectedly into the hands of producers Mikal Blue (Colbie Colait, Augustana, One Republic) and Andrew Williams (Five for fighting, Jessica Simpson). With the two producers' direction, what started as a few songs had turned into Birds of New York.

With producers Blue and Williams, Birds of New York finished recording their first ep that is highlighted by the song "Happy (without me)". The lush and beautiful production provides a musical landscape that truly brings these songs to life. Birds of New York create a vast musical experience, in hopes that the listener can escape into another world. Birds of New York is now ready for this next musical chapter in their lives and hope that you all come along for the flight...
