The Birdz Sessions (BzS) is a Central Massachusetts based collaboration between musicians Richard Kneeland and Larry "Birdz". Richard writes most of the lyrics and plays rhythm guitar. Larry writes most of the music and plays lead guitar, slide, synth, and occasionally bass. Rich writes his lyrics from an autobiographical point of view based on his life experiences. We also engage some excellent local musicians to contribute their talent to the Birdz Sessions. The project was named the Birdz Sessions because Larry's nickname is "Birdz", and we do all of our recording in his studio.
Our first CD release High Above Manhattan is comprised of an eclectic mix of blues, rock, pop, and jazz music.

Sounds like wind blowing in a wheatfield, train rolling down the line, rain coming down on a old tin shed, steel, wire and a rusty heart. Boots of leather and dust and ash. Mollasess and coal and stone. Wedding rings and buried bones of love broken and burnt. Tales and the footprints, ravenswings and souls are earnt."
Thanks for introducing yourselves. I enjoyed listeneding to your music and I know that someday, no doubt, I'll just have to post "Somebody Help Me" on my page.
