Decypher are a grime theatre collective formed of the freshest and most exciting MCs in the region.
They originally formed after taking part in huge grime workshops put on by Punch Records and the Rep theatre. Hailing from various crews and production houses from all over Birmingham these intervals came together to develop the UKs first ever example of Grime Theatre.
Working under the artistic direction of legendary UK hip hop practitioner Charlie Dark (Blactronica - London) with movement development from Kwesi Jonson, ' Decypher' was initially performed to sell out audience at the BASS 2006 -the UKS largest black music and art festival.
Since then the group have progressed to develop more dynamic and challenging work, most recently playing to packed audiences at Birmingham Artfest.
As well as working as a collective the group all thrive as individual artists with constant mix tapes and videos being released. Check out their links for more information.
The next few months will be busy for the group with invites for international visits, materialises and workshops with leading UK artists and development work for a tour.
