Simon Scardanelli has been composing, creating and assembling musical and sound collages since the age of ten when he bought two Grundig TK20 reel-to-reel tape records in a jumble sale. On this page are four pieces commissioned during 1999/2001. Available as a CD for £10 including International postage
"The concert closed with some genuine industrial music. Simon Scardanelli's De(re)construction literally built up from Digbeth factory thrashings, clankings and clumpings, with true-life-of-a-foreman interviews rising up from the decibel crush, the participants very wary of the Millennium Point media-focused makeover driving out the old grimy factories. This was clearly the best fulfilment of the City Scape brief."
- Martin Longley, Birmingham Post.
Premiered 16th November CBSO Centre Birmingham.
Simon Scardanelli is of course better known as a singer-songwriter and songs can be heard at his other Myspace page.
