The Birmingham Vulcans Rugby Club was founded in 1967 to promote the sport of rugby in the Southeast and the camaraderie which goes along with it. For forty years, the Vulcans have carried on a winning tradition and currently competes in the Division III bracket of the Deep South Rugby Union. The club sponsors the annual Krebs Cup competition, which in 2005 was expanded to become the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Championships. The Vulcans play virtually year-round with Spring, Summer Sevens, and Fall Seasons, and hosts the annual Magic City Vulcans Sevens Rugby Tournament during the Summer Sevens season. The club also supports the community through volunteer work with the Birmingham Exchange Club and its annual Sunshine Santa Spectacular, and by assisting with the annual Powerman Dualthlon, as well as other events throughout the year. We are always looking for those who are interested in the sport as a player, supporter, sponsor, or spectator. Donations and sponsorships are gladly and gratefully accepted and are tax deductible.
