About Birth of Jubal (IS DONE...THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT)
Birth of Jubal started out as a four piece female-fronted metal band in February, 2006. Brian, our rhythm guitarist, brings 80's metal, old-school death metal, and thrash influence to the band. Randy, our drummer/screamer, brings new wave death metal and hardcore influence to the band. Alicia, our front woman, listens to a lot of Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, and Nightwish, and brings this influence to the band. Eli, the lead guitarist, brings melodic death and black metal influence to the band. Together, we have created a new sound of heavy metal music with occasional breakdowns and death metal riffs topped with female vocals. For the first year and a half, we played local shows, recorded a 5-song EP with Andy Schiller, and practiced without a bass player. We built a solid local fanbase by playing shows in Northern Colorado and Denver. After the first year of developing our sound, we talked about trying out bass players. After trying out a few bass players in 2007, we were still in no hurry to add a bass player that was not a perfect fit for the band. We continued to play shows as a four piece through 2007 and improved our live performance through dedication and practice. In late 2007, we tried out Buddy (from Berthoud) on bass for a few months and realized that he was the perfect fit for what Birth of Jubal had in store for 2008. He has become a solid part of Birth of Jubal and our live performance, crowd participation, and sound will only continue to improve with the added low end and rhythm he brings to the band. If you are interested in booking us for a show and need to get ahold of us, please message us here on our profile or email us at birthofjubal@hotmail.com.
We have two shirt designs. Check them out below. They are $10 a piece and can be purchased through anyone in the band or at a show. If you live out of town and want one...talk to us and we'll see if we can work something out to get you one.

We've been talking about ways that we could help bring bands and the scene together and were thinking that if bands hung out more and just built friendships through BBall or whatever that that would be awesome.
Anyway I'd love to hear your input on things and I setup a blog post just for that and hope you'll share some ideas or would be down for some hoops, cookouts, whatevs...
Anyway let me know what you guys think! Here's the link to the Blog:
