Bishop Lamont has been hard at work lately. He's been in the studio night and day recording music in preparation for an explosive 2009-2010 for Aftermath Records. Bishop's debut "The Reformation" is currently scheduled for a 2010 release.
In the meantime, fans have been hearing criticly acclaimed street albums w/ DJ SKEE Presents Bishop Lamont's "NIGGER NOIZE" which hit the streets hard in March 2007. In addition to a street album called "CALTROiT" with partner in crime Black Milk. With Bishop at the helm "CALTROiT" release has been a world wide hit! Spawned a sell out "CALTROiT" tour accross Europe & Has sold over 100,000 units to date. Bishop followed up with the release of "POPE MOBILE" which reset the mixtape/street-album scene. Bishop is out doing himself once again with the, with early reviews coming in fans have called it nothing short of "facinating" with Producers like Teddy Riley, Danja Hands, Scott Storch and 9th Wonder at the helm of the project "Pope Mobile has no compition!" (quote:XXLMAG.COM) Bishop is changing the game rapidly. Bishop is one of the only artist to drop 3 "Classic" street albums in the same year, he is definalty raising the bar for MC's and hip hop. Bishop's last endevour was "The Confessional" with east coast great & mixtape king DJ Whoo Kid released June 10th the buzz on the street album was at an all time high, with anticipation of major production on a free street album.
Bishop is now back at it with the release of his music video "Err'day in the Streets" featuring Scoop Deville & Chevy Jones the video has been accepted on a global scale & is getting airplay in Japan, Europe & Dubai. Bishop is set to be featured on Rob Dyrdeks MTV Fantasy Factory reality show this fall along with the release of "Dirty Girl pt. 2" aka "Lights Out" as if all this work wasnt enough Bishop has also began production on his latest street albums "Team America, Fuck Yeah: Special Forces" with Indef & Dj Skee due out Fall 2009 & The long awaited follow up to "CALTROiT" is also in production "CALTROiT METROPOLiS" (part 2) which is being Executively Produced by Bishop Lamont, E. Chaney, Hex Murda & Black Milk Expect the masterpeice to drop in 2010.
