BITCH GET FIT... WHAT IS IT?
I sometimes get this question…. usually it is directed in a peaceful, respectful, educated manner… but there are times when I have gotten abrasive emails from random people who accuse me of not being a “real woman” and how my use of the word ‘BITCH’ is language that shows how I see myself or perhaps see others…
I believe that words are powerful.
So that is why I had no concern naming my D.I.Y, record label “ BITCH GET FIT”.
My music is very much the frame for my thoughts and words.
‘BITCH GET FIT’ is a domain from which I share my songs.
But these 3 words have sparked so many emotions from many;
some of outrage and concern, but most of joy, excitement, and pride.
There are some amazing trailblazers who have stood up against the times and the odds for what they creatively, intellectually and culturally believed in.
Trailblazers who crafted images and moved hearts. I hope to try my best to continue that tradition along with so many amazing women.
We all have a story so...
Tell it! Sing it! Write it! Make it! Think it!
It might have started out innocently enough as a means to get my music out there, but now it’s an open forum as well.
My Record Label is called “BITCH GET FIT” and my message is clear.
Girls get strong, be mentally and emotionally fit, be wise, be confident in what you want.

Stop letting people take advantage of us, minds hijacked by what the media tells us is a good life. It's a lie! If we are to survive, bitch, we better get fit! If everyone were in their own power we might have a chance to rise out of this materialistic, ego-centric, (male dominated, might I add) warmongering, greed stricken society.
