About me:
I am the editor of Bite me magazine- the magazine for vampire lovers.
I have appeared on tv several times talking about those dastardly creatures vampires but am more used to turning down requests than accepting them. Can you blame me?!
I am not just interested in things with pointy teeth- I am drawn to most things dark and alluring. That can include haunted castles, ghostly pubs and eerie forests.
Bite me magazine web site is at www.bitememagazine.com
A visit to the ‘world’s biggest Dracula party’ sparked the idea for Bite me.
The setting: Los Angeles.
The date: August 1997.
The celebration: the centenary of Bram Stoker’s immortal novel Dracula….
Over a thousand vampire fans from the US, Brazil, Spain, Romania and Russia united with one solitary Scottish vampire-magazine-Editor–in-the-making for the most fang-tastic event of the century.
The Editor mingled with Hammer Horror legend Ingrid ‘Countess Dracula’ Pitt, Scream Queens, the son of Bela Lugosi, the first man to ever spend a night alone in the real Castle Dracula in Romania. Oh, and a psychic vampire or two….
Alas, the party had to end. Four days later, the Editor was back in the vampire-barren territory of Central Scotland. But there was something different this time. She was on a mission. Pure and simple, she felt the ‘calling’ to produce a publication that would unite fans from all around the world. Fans with one thing in common- a love of Dracula and well other things spooky and weird!
From an initial plan to produce a photocopied fanzine, ‘Project Vampire’ kept growing fangs as I decided I wanted glossy pages, shiny colour ones, some more gloss. I had zero experience of producing a magazine and undertook a self-taught crash course in publishing, alone at night in my attic...

Who I'd like to meet: Most folk as long as they are courteous. I am not interested in gossipy cliquey types/groups. There were too many of them at the local vamp society- put me off for life!
I like creative, artistic people - who don't even have to like vampires!
I would also like to meet people who have seen the actual print magazine, not just the web site :-)
its 3am and you're not online??? me thinks you've retired to the coffin and nailed it shut from the inside. you deserve the break now, its a great mag!
