Please help save our newest rescue Goldie! She came to Bit-O-Heaven just a short week ago. Goldie is around 30 years old and as you can see, she needs our help. Bit-O-Heaven was able to take Goldie, but there are many more horses out there just like her that need us. We rely on donations from the community to keep our non-profit organization going. To provide a safe, wholesome and fun place for people of all ages, with or without disabilites, to learn all aspects of horse care, handling and riding for pleasure. Bit-O-Heaven Ranch is a 20-acre ranch located in Bakersfield, California. It is ran and operated by both RT and Tracy-Totton Martin. Bit-O-Heaven Ranch is devoted to taking in unwanted horses. Once they are with us, they are with us until the end. Each horse is given the love and attention it needs each and everyday. However, Bit-O-Heaven needs your help. In order to take care of every horse properly and never have to turn a horse away, we need donations from horse-lovers like yourself. Donations are tax-deductible and anything helps. If you are interested in donating please reach Tracy at (661)-845-6252 or send checks payable to Bit-O-Heaven Ranch to 13453 Olen Ave. Bakersfield, California 93311. We appreciate all your love and support.

Thirsty and in search of water, the camels converged on the community of Docker River. Instead of assisting the community by building barriers to keep the camels out of the township and investing in long term solutions such as research into birth control or the construction of a manmade waterhole for the camels to drink from, the government are planning to herd the animals away from the town, shoot them and leave their bodies to rot.
Despite the outrage of thousands of concerned people from around the world, the Northern Territory government has given the green light for the cull to go ahead and thousands of scared camels are now being annihilated by marksmen from helicopters.
