Bitterscene was the one and only indie club in Chelmsford, Essex - now there's thousands, but we're still the best or so our die-hard fans tell us! We started life in Feb 2001 at the Bassment and we are still going strong. *** We happen once a month on the last Wednesday of the month *** Bitterscene - "Louche garage rock indie snog den"- (The Face). NME Club of the week - 22 Feb 2006. Bitterscene - “If every town had people so willing to offer their educated tastes on the masses local scenes would be all the healthier, praise is due for bitterscene” Sounds XP
