About me:

Every week I've decided to make my last top friend a band that you should check out. So if you read anything in my profile, read the preceding sentence =) Hi...I'm Laila. I like to think I'm a good person. But shh, don't tell my self esteem that. I strive to be a music journalist. I spent the summer of 2008 interning at Alternative Press Magazine, and it was the best experience of my life, hands down. I never feel more alive than when I'm interviewing bands. I've interviewed most of my music idols and it's been amazing. I'm about to start graduate school at Johns Hopkins; I just finished my undergrad degree at Loyola College, the last year that it was actually a college! I like the typical stuff; music, books, writing, wii fit, cooking, hanging out with my amazing friends, seeing my twin godsons whenever possible (born Jan '08) and going to class and making all this money I'm spending worth it! I have four tattoos and want a million more! But sadly, I'm starting to mature and want to save my money a little more instead of blowing it. I grew up overseas and miss it every day, because I believe the majority of the US is made up of washed out, pathetic souls who follow the man blindly. There are many exceptions, though. I don't like games or liars. If I think someone is participating in either, I WILL drop them. I'd expect they do the same for me if I was being hypocritical. Either way, I like a good conversation about music or life, and just goofing off and having fun. =)
