Blurbs

About me:

I'm a writer, filmmaker, actor and interactive designer. I spend most of my days building web sites, writing and producing and editing videos in St. John's Newfoundland- where I moved from Toronto three months ago. I loves it here. I spend my evenings learning how to kick heads at Tae Kwon Do. Or hanging with the women's film festival gang who are just amazing and doing wonderful things that I care about. Or eating fresh cod and listening to live music at - oh just about any place downtown.

I'm also BABS! at moovy.ca.

I like art. And comedy. And when things are fair. If you care about art in Canada, then consider helping to get the Neocons out of government. Check out the Strange Breakfasts web site, for more info. Great articles by Margaret Atwood are on it.
  • Music

Currently fave tracks are by Gogol Bordello, Brad Sucks, Amos Lee, Joseph Arthur, Kate Havnevik, Au Revoir Simone.
  • Movies

Classics - King of Hearts, Man Bites Dog, Babette's Feast, A Clockwork Orange, Blue Velvet, The Ten Commandments (I'm not kidding - it always makes me cry.)
  • Television

Right now addicted to the 12:00am Arrested Development reruns on CBC.
  • Books

BookShorts.com has got me reading again, and I have read some winners. I loved "Three Day Road" by Joseph Boyden, and "The Girls" by Lori Lansens was phenomenal. "Galveston" by Paul Quarrington was surprisingly tender. "A Perfect Circle" by Pascale Quiviger was sweetly bitter. "Jpod" by Douglas Coupland was funnier the second time I read it. I have a stack more to read. Damn this Internet addiction.
  • Heroes

I have some ....and they're still alive! http://www.theyesmen.org/ http://www.markthomasinfo.com/ I'll think of some more too.
