since 1997, bit-tuner produces his music with computer, mpc, synthesizer, bassguitar and a lot of analog effects. he likes to work with samples from old vinyl records, and in recent times with self-recorded sounds and field recordings. the musical results are slow- and heavyweight beats, punching basslines, dark atmospheres and melodies, and noisy soundscapes.
he composes music and does sounddesign for dancetheatre productions. collaborations with tanzkompanie at theater st.gallen, cie. sans filtre zürich and more..
bit-tuner released in 2004 a four-track instrumental-ep "aspects" (local_form rec./sg)
and his full-lenght soloalbum "toxin" was released in 2008 (umbruch rec/hamburg)
göldin & bit-tuner, the famous hiphopduo with rapper dani göldin, started 2003. they dropped together four albums (aläs wird guät, quiet rec./zh, freunde-das leben beginnt, coffee/zh, fantasy is fucked, quiet rec./zh, it's sensational, quiet rec./zh), and a remix-ep (saint city hi-life, quiet rec./zh).
further collaborations: egogrill with rapper omega takeshi from 88:komaflash (munich), audio88 from berlin/neukölln and bleubird from florida.
