About Bittybox
Bittybox is a project that has been a long time in the making. When my
band broke up a number of years ago, the idea of starting again from square
one was a bit daunting. I eventually looked into recording software for
the computer, and decided to try a solo recording project.
I have a stubborn streak and am also independent, so for quite some
time I tried to do everything on the album myself. I was working with
samplers and sequencing as well as guitar and vocals. I recorded with
Digital Performer software on my home computer.
If I have any advice for others out there looking to record an album,
it would be "DO NOT TRY TO DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF!". Say that over twelve
times.
This project really came alive once I got help from the many capable
people listed on the credits in the band members section to the left.
I am forever grateful for their wonderful contributions.
"Smalltime" was self-produced and entirely self-financed with a lot
of blood sweat and tears. It took an incredible amount of determination
and perseverance to get it finished. I really hope you like it!!
