This whole thing started without my realizing it! In October 2003, God showed me a need for a weekly women’s Bible study at our church in Montana. I chose to start with the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, and 11 ladies join me for food, discussion and prayer.

In March 2004, my husband, active duty United States Air Force, received new orders to North Carolina. By April, the idea for an online women’s Bible study group was born. Eight ladies from three different states joined me in the group and on 30 April 2004 the very first study was sent out.

Today, with readers on 6 continents, Blue Jeans and Tennies offers devotions to help make God's Word practically applicable.

A gift that will never wear out, break down or get old but one that grows more beautiful every day and one whose worth really cannot be measured except by the heart. This gift is one that never expires but maintains its brilliance day after day, year after year. It has many uses from encouragement and support during the hard times and laughter and smiles during the good times; it's a gift filled with love, appreciation, and care and a gift that forever lives on in one's heart. What is this truly special gift? It is the gift of your friendship that means so much to me and that I am so blessed to be able to receive, one I hold close to my heart because in my life, you, my friend, play such an important part :). A person can find out about God on their own with a Bible, just like someone can buy a house directly, but it is easier and faster to have a more experienced person who knows the territory help you. Someone who helps another is a minister. You can do that. SAY THIS: God made me able to minister -- to help someone.
