Bj Lloyd & The Cold December have quickly been labeled one of Austalia's biggest up and coming band. Over the past 7 months Bj Lloyd & The Cold December have been pounding the shoe lace express and making a name for themselves not just in and around their home town and state sectors, but in 4 other countries.
The bands hit ‘The Messenger’ received rave reviews on local radio stations, including Power FM which has stations spanning through-out Victoria, NSW and South Australia. The Band has also been featured on Pod Casts and Radio stations around the globe, places including the US, UK, Canada and Russia have all featured the band as an upcoming artist to watch.
To add to their success the ‘The Messenger’ held the number 1 spot on Triple J’s unearthed for 3 consecutive weeks, and afterwards spent another 3 weeks in the Top 5. The band has just finished recording their first EP "Everything comes back to Zero" with the EP set to be released in their home den 'The Karova Lounge' on the 25th of July.
After only being a band for 7 months Bj Lloyd & The Cold December find themselves pushing harder and harder trying to continue their momentum, the band entered one of Melbourne’s biggest battle of the bands competitions ‘The Melbourne Industry Fresh’ which saw 105 bands enter, the boys powered their way through heats and a semi final to earn themselves a spot in the grand final which saw 16 bands take to the stage in a musically packed out night. The boys walked away taking with them 2 of the 4 major prizes on offer, thrusting them into the spot light and branding them with the title of 2009 Melbourne Industry Fresh Winners.
The band has attracted attention from several record labels within Australia, being noticed for their high energy stage shows and crazy antics. Bj Lloyd & The Cold December are set to erupt into the Australian music scene dont miss them!

Hey Beej, were set to record on the school holidays and i think were in the studio for 2 days, if so then were gonna be recording our first DEMO (of originals), we were ment to do a gig at the barwon club on friday (but due to lack of equipment and sponatious organisation we pulled out :( lol), next time you come to geelong... DO AN UNDER 18's GIG!.
OMG the chicken sshop dude actually messaged back, after i got impatient of waiting and emailed him again, haha, they do gigs once a month for bands, , so were hopefully playing next year some time, we will try hook u in too :),

Good To Hear Your Making A Name for Yourselfs, As For Originals Weve Got 3 Finished But were gonna change the one we have up on our myspace as it lacks a third verse, bridge (which we still may not add), a rythm guitar bit which we added in for some competition and we liked it, and also a guitar solo (to make the song more fun for me xD)
were in the progress of making a few more, our piano player has one apparently, and so does our bassist, and we have a pop punk song we made use for an original but its different from everything else weve done (lol)
Were recordn again this holidays and hopefully has at least a 6 songs demo done
anyways, catch around, im still emailing venues so hopefully something :)

were just getting out set list and things together, were probably recording again these holidays and we also entered this comp about alchohol and how its bad for you and stuff and if we get chosen to perform at the night (We find out tmoz i think) we needa do like 10-12 songs hahah we have like 5 originals and the rest covers, would be fun as
