They say things are darkest before the dawn, but the entire story is not told. As the bright red star we call the sun sends its first sliver of light above the horizon, to illuminate the colors of the day, the blue sky ablaze with red and orange, the green trees and grass, the colors of the rainbow in the flowers, and the light to see the ones you love. That is the story that must be told. It is the darkness that steals away the things we hold dearest; it is the light that gives them back. So while things may be darkest before the dawn, just hold on. The light is on the way and the ones we love will be there in the light and what the darkness took from you will be revealed and your life will be whole again. Endure the darkness, for what the light brings is greater than anything you will ever know. Embrace the light and the sun, for it is what brings us life. Embrace the day and the time you have in the light, for life is short, fragile, and fleeting and we cannot let the darkness steal away what we need most, and that is love.
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.

Each of us should choose which course of action we must take; education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes, BUT LET IT NOT BE SAID THAT WE DID NOTHING.

Who I'd like to meet:
Before you read all of this, let me break it down for you...I'm a VERY SIMPLE guy looking for another SIMPLE guy. I enjoy the small things in life. I have my head on straight and know where I'm going.
A couple things I pride myself on are my sincerity and trustworthiness. I expect the same from anyone who wants my heart. I like confidence, not cockiness...There's a fine line. I'm confident in myself and finally feel comfortable with who I am. I'd prefer someone who is the same in that regard.
I'm not looking for someone to "make me happy". No one can make or break my happiness. I make my own happiness and I am happy with myself and by myself. I'm looking for someone to share that innate happiness with. I'm looking for someone to share the wild and crazy experiences that we call life with. I'm looking for someone spontaneous, someone who likes to travel, and someone who, one day, would like to join with me in doing volunteer work in an effort to contribute to the greater good and, even if on a small scale, making the world a better place.
I'm very laid back and easy going. I want someone who can hang with me at the bar or lay on the couch and watch a movie with me.
Don't try to impress me with your money or your material things. It WONT WORK. Show me that you care about the bigger issues in this world. Show me that you're interested in doing things that contribute to the greater good, and then I will be impressed. That being said, don't do these things just to impress me...I see right through that shit. Do these things because you actually want to.
Basically, I just want what we all want...That special someone to come home to. Knowing you have someone there for you when shit hits the fan. Knowing that you can be there for someone when their life goes a little crazy too.
