John Burns wrote his first song in September, 1972. Since then he has written somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 songs. In the last couple of years, he has put aside playing as a sideman with cover bands, electing instead to do his original songs in coffeehouses, etc.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! It was so nice to meet you last night, and I am so grateful for you donating your talent and time for a great cause. We made $1000 for Kids Against Hunger, and it was so fun to see High Schoolers playing with jump ropes, their parents jammin to Sublime, and all kinds of people enjoying the evening together for a positive purpose. Your songs rocks. So fun! Hope to see you again in DM at the end of the month. Many blessings. Thanks for your flexibility and for staying the whole night. Peace, sarah
Hey there. How are ya? We had a fabulous weekend in CO for the Michael Franti shows. I'm excited for Unity Unplugged this Friday. There will be Sub City and home made cookies and lots of fun. Can't wait to hear you perform. There will be a great article about it in Thursday's Marshalltown TR and it's been on the radio and stuff, so hope we have a good turn out. Have you talked to Lady Blue at all? Thanks again for playing for this good cause, Kids Against Hunger. Peace, sarah
If you'd be interested in playing a 20-30 min set, we'd love to have your talent there as well.
