I love any kind of music (except country). I have really eclectic tastes. From Acoustic to Hip Hop to Classical to Psychedelic Lounge to Symphonic Metal and *everything*, *everything*, *everything* in between.

| | Television |
I don't really watch much television. It's hard to guarantee I'll be in the vicinity of a television at a given time. Comedy, sci-fi, news, sports, drama, not a big fan of chick-flicky stuff. Occasionally my friends will get me hooked on a show as well. Best cartoon series of my youth, hands down: Pinky & the Brain. | | Books | I like a lot of different kinds of books, both non-fiction and fiction, poetry, fantasy, classics, horror, action-adventure, journalistic collections, etc. I'm a fan of 'good' literature, but I also like to read purely for enjoyment sometimes, instead of analyzing everything I read. This is only a small random sampling of my tastes. There simply isn't room!
I have decided that (for the moment at least) Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray is my favorite book. Chango's Fire by Ernesto Quiñonez, America: Democracy Inaction by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, I Am America (And So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert, The Captain Lands In Paradise by Sarah Manguso, The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien, Dracula by Bram Stoker, The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, Treasure Island by R.L. Stevenson, Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, Oscar Wilde, Sherwood Smith, Francesca Lia Block, Garth Nix, Marianne Curley, Margaret Atwood, Robert Frost, Jane Austen, Thomas Love Peacock, William Blake, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allen Poe, Henry David Thoreau, Washington Irving, Ernest Hemingway, Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf, Beth Ann Fennelly, Thomas Sayers Ellis, Mary Ruefle
...plus many more...
...I'm basically a bibliophile...

About me:
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I’m a walking encyclopedia of weird. I’m involved in a love affair with the written word. I prefer reading to television (usually), writing to fighting, sarcasm to sadness, laughter to pain. My life is outrageous, but I like it that way. I prefer to keep a humorous outlook on life. I enjoy meeting new and interesting people and conversing with them. I'm a huge nerd. I think the most interesting things about me are the things you discover by spending time around me. I've been told I'm entertaining. I don't know if I believe that. More like outrageous. I've also been told I'm odd. That one I do believe.
“I exist as I am, that is enough,
If no other in the world be aware I sit content,
And if each and all be aware I sit content.”
~Walt Whitman – Song of Myself
*~*~*~*~*~*
“Do I contradict myself?
Very well then….I contradict myself;
I am large….I contain multitudes.”
~Walt Whitman – Song of Myself
