is the rhythm of life. for a sample of the beats i move to, check the friend's list.
Movies
show you what really goes on deep down in the psyche of society.
Television
is for those times when you don't want to think and imagine for yourself what life could, should, and would be like so you release all accountability to those that tell you what you want and then sell it to you.
Books
aid the individual in asking the right questions and finding the answers, or vice versa, and being able to create one's own meaning. and sometimes they allow one to escape into another world. i like balancing the two.
Heroes
are sandwiches that forces the body to work overtime. but that's not what this means, is it? well, i am the one i've been waiting for.

About me:
"Every form has its own meaning. Every woman creates her meaning and form and goal. Why is it so important-what others have done? Why does it become sacred by the mere fact of not being your own? Why is anyone and everyone right-so long as it's not yourself? Why does the number of those others take the place of truth? Why is truth made a mere matter of arithmetic-and only addition at that? Why is everything twisted out of all sense to fit everything else? There must be some reason. I don't know, I've never known. I'd like to understand."
"I've chosen the work that I want to do. If I find no joy in it, then I'm only condemning myself to countless years of torture. And I can find the joy only if I do my work in the best way possible to me. But the best is a matter of standards-and I set my own standards. I inherit nothing. I stand at the edge of no tradition. I may, perhaps, stand at the beginning of one."

It's not very likely I will be able to come to homecoming as it is in the middle of the school year, but hoping to schedule some get togethers when I'm in NYC next :-)
Just wanted to say hi via this medium. My IM had to go, at least for the time being, as it was taking forever for my computer to start up. I hope all is well with you this new year!
thought I tell you what a blessing it is having you as a friend even if we dont live in the same city or see each other often. I hope your holidays were filled with much love and good food:) Hows everything progressing?
hi, thank you for the voicemail! lovely to hear your voice. i've been working some catering gigs and studying for my exam, which was monday (rocked it). i'll be in touch soon. much love to you!
i don't think I can swing the yoga party like i thought ($ is funny), but leaning towards maybe a private session--you and me on the am of my day of birth 11/18--are you avail?

Description:
Wake up your Improviser, Soften your Body, Hone your Skills.
Come to Embora and Explore this enlivening, playful, and creative dance form. Contact is a blend of Modern Dance, Martial Arts, Creativity born in the moment, and plain ol' fun. We will be cultivating skills and awareness as we meet out partners in improvisational dances connected by rolling points of contact.
This class is an open level class, for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
Classes will include long, luscious warm-ups, skillwork, and plenty of dancing. In a safe and grounded space we'll be moving on different levels, explore possibilities for lifts and ledges, being still, finding ease in being upside down, and moving through space softly and solidly. These explorations will be supported by experiential anatomy--developing our structural understanding of the body.
