Time flies! Who would have known that the group BKS consisting of three friends (Dache, Buddy B and J-11) all reppin’ the Northern Virginia area, would be going strong five years after its birth in 2003. Although they were in high school and working in a low budget basement studio, the grouped cranked out three mixtapes that got the city's notice. From two members to six members at one time, the group has undergone multiple changes with its family. However when the dust finally cleared Buddy B, J-11 and Dache remained, holding down BKS. In 2006 they added another member Yung Juice, with his creativity and drive he added a needed component to the group. Since then the BKS have been recording tracks and dropping songs; and in the summer of 2008 they came with something that set the whole DMV on fire! The song “Swag”. This song was placed on multiple blogs and established them as the “next” to come out of the DMV into mainstream Hip-Hop. Now in 2009, they have created been on multiple mixtapes and shot a variety of promo videos. At the same time performing in an array of places spread out across the D.C, Maryland and Virginia area. They have finally dropped their first official mixtape City Lights. Members Yung Juice, Dache, Buddy B and J-11 each have their own story, but all share the hunger to let the world get a taste of them. BKS is the Group, Medici is the family. Myspace.com/bks703.
