About me: I designed this website to showcase the versitility and outstanding athleticism of my horse in hopes to not only promote support for them with in the show world but also as a way to showcase a different side to the Saddlebred world. For several years I have been working as an AOTR in the chicagoland area which, trust me, is no simple task. While I dont recommend becoming a Do-It-Yourselfer to everyone its seemed to work well for me. Despite having to dispel the misconceptions people have about the breed on a day to day basis I have been fortunite enough to have had the opportunity to be exposed to just about every traditional discipline thats popular at the moment.
It wasnt until the winter of 2003 that I bought my first Saddlebred prospect, an older mare by the name of Blackhawk's Heart of Steel. "Steel" Has Been shown to many ribbons in both the western and huntseat divisions over the past few years earning the titles of 2007 and 2006 Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association Season Champion for Working Pleasure, 2006 Horse World's People's Choice Reserve Champion Working Western Pleasure and 2005 IASPHA Reserve Season Champion Working Pleasure
In the spring of 2006 I brought in my latest prospect a 4 yrs old pinto ASB by the name of Magic's Royal Gift. While "Melonhead" still had a long way to go in his training entering into the 2006 season he still managed to bring home the blues, earning the titles 2006 IASPHA Season Champion Hunter Hack as well as the 2006 IASPHA Reserve Season Champion OTR. Additional earned the honors of The 2006 American Saddlebred Horse Association of Wisconsin B Circuit High Point Champion, Reserve Champion Hunter Hack, and Champion OTR as well as the 2006 Mid America Horse Show Association Reserve Champion OTR. Melonhead proved to only continue his success in 2007 with wins in Halter, Saddleseat, Huntseat and Dressage on Saddlebred, dressage and Pinto circuits, Earning the year end titles of 2007 Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association High point Champion 18 and over, Season Champion for Hunter Hack and Champion for OTR.
Following a very successful 2007 season on the saddlebred circuit, taking home several season championships as well as qualifying for the finals in st. Louis, in 2008 both horse will return to this areana with Steel showing in working western and Melonhead showing in Huntseat and Saddleseat. Steel and Melonhead will both be making their training level debuts on the rated dressage circuit in 2008. I know many people have expressed a desire to see Melonhead go dressage and he is currently working well in a snaffle, so keep a look out. As always thank you to all of our friends and fans that have come out to support us at the shows and for all of the letters of support sent from across the country. We would like to wish you all the best of luck in your own pursuits and it is our hope for your continued support in 2008!

I (Steve) wanted to share a new network that Nancie has just started. It’s called “Equine Lovers Network” and looks like it will be a lot of fun… and will eventually contain a lot of helpful information.
Check it out and, if you feel so moved, give it a try. I know that she would love to have you as a member of the group.
Happy Trails,
Steve
“In my opinion, a horse is the animal to have. Eleven-hundred pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs - it's something you just can't get from a pet hamster.” ~Author Unknown
