The absolutely horrific police brutality and injustice which occured Monday night at John Kerry's Q and A, I'm sure many of you have heard by now. It is your DUTY, not only as a citizen, but as a HUMAN BEING to defend your rights.
A great and many thanks to everyone who marched with us at UF today on UPD and Emerson Hall. My voice is gone and my face is burnt, and what we did today, incredible as it was, is not going to be enough to get our voices heard- and ACKNOWLEDGED. The fear of losing something taken for granted by so many like our rapidly disappearing freeedom of speech should turn into anger and hopefully motivate you to ACTION. We must ORGANIZE! (To anyone who would like to joing us, some fellow protesters and I are meeting at my house on SW 3rd Ave to watch and discuss the news this evening at 6:00. All are welcome.)
Tomorrow at NOON and every day after, we are meeting at the Plaza of the Americas and marching on Emerson. Hopefully we won't have to fight our way into the building like we did today when they met our voices with force. Our demands are not unreasonable and OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD AND RECOGNIZED. What little we did accomplish today must be followed with absolute solidarity and more change.
This happened within the academic walls of a UNIVERSITY, when all Meyer did was ask a question, DURING a Q and A session. Thank science for the ability for you to see it for yourself.
