About me: Tired of not being welcome down in Myrtle Beach closing store. and store shutting down early.Join us in motown in 2010 from May 23-31. Where detroit will welcome you for black bike week
Fellow Riders,
Allow me to introduce myself to you, I am the President of 313 Riders out of Detroit everyone calls me Rasheed or RAW for short, you can visit the following web sites to learn more about my club and what we are bring to the bike world. The sites you can visit goes as following: www.313riders.net, www.myspace.com/313riders & www.myspace.com/blackbikeweek2010.
The reason why I am writing you today because I wanted to reach out to other bike clubs outside of the Detroit area, I am also one of the Presidents that has formed a group called DPC which stands for Detroit President Council. Most clubs that are in this group are more like the new wave of bike clubs, we all enjoy visiting other city and hanging out with our people, while have a good time. To me our people will never fully come up, unless we all pull together and even reach back to pull those that need our helping hand. In the DPC we have a lot of clubs that have their our agenda but all of our common goals is to work with one another, create an environment that reflects growth and development. The DPC was created so we can support each other, in all fashion of the word, not just to party all the time, and just ride the motorcycles. That is what brought us together but there is something much larger than that out here, the support that a black man can give another, carries a lot of weight in this world. Sometimes we are so blinded by the colors that we wear on our backs, that we forget the Willy Lynch theory, that was during the time of our bondage, when he would put the light skin in one group, the dark skin in another group, those of different tongue in another group, not so they would come together but so they would hate one another, fight one another and never would they come together.
That is the very reason why I am writing you today, I think it is every President duty to start with his or her club and create a foundation that is built on working together and sending that message outside your club, so other clubs will see the light that you have and they want to become apart of that. When I go to Myrtle Beach I see that together-ness with other bike clubs everyone is happy to be around their people having fun, and just enjoying the weekend. The City for the most part don’t want us there and that is proven by the amount of tickets we get, how many brothers that go to jail and the disrespect that we receive as a whole. It was stated that the week before Black Bike Week, the other bikers was wearing shirts that stated “ THIS WEEK BIKE WEEK, NEXT WEEK BUCKWHEAT”. If that is not saying a lot, I don’t know what is.
I like going to Myrtle Beach because I love to be around my brothers and sisters, everyone is proud to have on their colors, everyone is willing to meet one another. There are a few that go just to see if they can seal your bike and that is because they can’t see the bigger picture. Not everyone will be able to see it, some will be stuck in the triple stages of darkness, DUMB, DEAF AND BLIND to everything they SEE, to everything they HEAR and every THOUGHT they might have. I am trying to get the Black Bikers to come Detroit, in 2010, a city that Rosa Parks loved, a City that she respected enough to have her demised here. A City were Motown was created, a City that has a Black Mayor that rides a bike and will welcome bikers from all over the world, without trying to create more ways to write tickets, to put another brother or sister in jail for the weekend. A City that will not close their shops because you are in town, A City that will embrace you, not just because you are Black, because you are a person, Black, White or whatever, the City of Detroit will welcome you with open arms and hope that you come back.
In closing I would like to say this is just one brother’s vision of the future and I hoping that you can see what I am talking about and past this letter on to other bike clubs in your town and hopefully when my club comes to Myrtle Beach next year 2008, you will be able to see us wearing shirts that state “BLACK BIKE WEEK 2010, DETROIT WILL WELCOME YOU” I have also included with this e-mail to you, Bossman-President of CCR (Clean Cut Riders), the sister Taaj-her husband and she has a business that makes shirts, jackets, etc., that will reflect at night, for all our safety and it is Black Own out of ATL. Lastly, I have added the brother who has visit my bike night that works for Anheuser-Busch, maybe we can all put together some kind of project in the future. I just hope everyone can get focus ..ing the next brother or sister come up and there is nothing wrong if you get there first.
With that I leave you all with words of PEACE UNTO YOU- As Salaam Alaikum
