With influences from Joy Division to Motorhead, Seattle-based Blackbird Orchestra likes to understate their sound as “a little bit this, a little bit that.” Don’t be fooled, though, the “this” and “that” actually form a carefully calculated recipe, combining the quartet’s diversity, rich guitar sound, melodic vocals, and experimental timing with rock sensibility, New Wave pop and dark flourish. This deliberate mélange is sometimes imperfect, sometimes unexpected, but consistantly produces music different from other bands, yet familiar to everyone who listens.
Formed in April 2005, Blackbird Orchestra rounds out its ranks with lead vocalist and lyricist, Frank Fuller; bassist Daniel McManus; guitarist Tommy Atwell; and drummer Kevin Jungfleisch.

"On Saturday July 11th at the All Pilgrim’s Church (lower level) we will be holding a Steampunk swapmeet/jumble/garage sale/ flea market thingy. It is the unifying theme for this event, but not a strict parameter. We are sort of time traveling sales folk, which also fits the genre, don’t you think?"
