5N'Dime has been around making music and performing since 1993. The group has always been family and friend based, but eventually those lines cross and become one. The group has written and recorded many tracks before the release of their debut album "The Classic" in 2005, but the experience of working for the sound they've invisioned has brought them far together. 5N'Dime is a hip hop gumbo of hard beats and lyricist that could rock a show on their own and are currently venturing in different directions to shape and mold their own sounds in solos and trios. Each member brings their own world of thoughts and creation to the table and together the group sounds Classic and phenomenal.
Atiim joined 5N'Dime in 1993, it's inception, and began writing songs and choruses for the group. They all shared the responsibility and creative say so in the process, but for Atiim, he found he had a knack for jingles, choruses and in general...writing. He's a poet and lyricist. Atiim has collaborated with members of 5N'Dime with choruses and verse writing. He's been one of the main concept writers for the group besides his brother Stagolee aka Kahlil Boykin.
Currently: Atiim Chenzira is working on a new masterpiece named '1 pen, One pad & A minuite', a remix of a few songs from the 5N'Dime album 'The Classic' that he's written and many more original tunes and gearing he's gearing up to record a live version of a few of his and David Jones tunes with his new and funky band BOMANI.
Stagolee is working on a project that will no doubt be a masterpiece of art and pure energy.
Rollz Royce, L-Jips, Yadameen and Bugzy Gold are carving out works that will both shake and join the Hyphy movement the bay has touched the world with.
As for Kobann... he's been producing tracks like 'There's a bomb on the plane' for Atiim Chenzira and for many other lucky and gifted artists in the Bay Area.
David Jones on the other hand is chizzling an R&B album and providing music to the masses. 5N'Dime is always in motion together and individually. The music is always inspiring some creative energy and that energy inpires more creation. Stay tuned for more to come.
