The Dhaseleer Events Barn features the Black Cat Concert Series. Located in Charlevoix, Michigan. The series promotes roots music, family gatherings and good fun. The events barn is also available for weddings and special events.
Dhaseleer Events Barn LLC is a for profit venture with the idea of bringing back simple quality family entertainment and providing a community with alternatives to mass media. Profits are used in part to restore and maintain the historical 1800's barn. The barn is used for community fund raisers, weddings, receptions and family parties.
As the venue grows, efforts can be placed on education in the forms of music instruction, dance, small farm history, pottery, gardening, tours etc.
The venue can only grow with community interest. Small businesses who wish to share in advertising, show sponsors and volunteers are all needed.
Built in the 1800's by men & women of vision. Hand hewn timbers, pin & post construction. Axes, ropes, pulleys and pain....
Doubled in size in 1900 by the sugar beet company. Foundations of stone. Buzz-saws, scissor trusses, square-nails and the American dream....
Brought back to a new life in 1924. Immigrant family in search of a better life. Family farm, dairy cattle, lots of kids, strawberries...
Passed on through the generations. Rebuilding. Finding new life. Roots music, family gatherings, reuniting old friends, making new....
