Dark and dangerous rock 'n' roll: Black Cat Rebellion was founded on a sound that both
swings and stomps by Brad St. Patrick, Rob Neutzman, and Chris Grady in late
2003. Milk (drums: 2006-2007) and D. Zaster (drums: 2005) joined the ranks of the rebellion for their respected terms, as well. They later reformed with Brad, Chris, and Kurt Fester in 2008.
The songs are darker and more melodic than traditional punk, but just as explosive. Drums beating like a hell-bent heart. Echoed guitars are cutting through and abrasive when necessary, rhythmic for solid hooks, and tinged with frustrated/hungry solos. The bass attempts to lure you in and knock you down, dragging you along for the ride. With lyrics visceral, honest, and poetic; the vocals swagger and sway until you're hit with the anthem and occasional growl. Black Cat defies many genre boundaries, though influenced by many, and is looking to leave it's own legacy in the nomadic underground that criss-crosses the globe and connects us all.
They bring a buccaneering live performance of energy as they prowl the stage. From
hard-luck fight songs to dark, outlaw love tunes, the soul of the group strikes hard. They've toured from East to West coast across the United States.
Black Cat's managed to invade the media on occasion, too. They've made a brief TV appearance as the soundtrack to an episode on ESPN 2's "Hot Rod Trucks" show. In their time, they've played many Rockabilly and Deathrock festivals; including the Heavy Rebel Weekender, Cornerstone, Rockabilly Rebel Weekend, and Drop Dead Festival. The rebel rockers have shot a video for "Gynophobia" from the "O.L.L.D." album. Not to mention, in print, the band has appeared in several magazines, with Loud, Fast, Rules being the most recent. Not enough? Just wait, we're not done yet.
Black Cat Rebellion will continue to cast a sick new shadow on the planet of rock 'n'
roll for years to come.
