Black Child Red is a 29 year old singer/songwriter/blues guitarist from Los Angeles, CA. He has written and performed with numerous musicians for the past 10 years. Some of which include: The Black Eyed Peas, Quese IMC, Burning Star, Olmeca. Black Child Red is about Revolution and Change through Music. His music embraces and fuses traditional blues and classic rock, with elements of world, Latin, and African grooves. His Lyrics and message embody environmental awareness, indigenous and human rights, and LOVE. His music cannot be categorized, for he himself cannot be categorized. His own ethnic mix of African , Native American, and Central American ancestry cannot help but come out through his music, which he calls RED EARTH BLUES.
Too many artists today are doing music without meaning, without purpose. They do it more for the distortion of fame and money, hey, look at me I'm a rock star, or I’m a pop icon. Black Child Red does music for one simple reason. OUR EARTH IS DYING, for centuries, music has been used for healing, for prayer, for festivals, for joy, for unity, and ceremony. Red Earth Blues is a celebration of awareness through song and word, vibration, its an attempt to take MUSIC BACK TO ITS ROOTS. Black Child Red is against WAR, against Poverty, against Corporatization, against the government not honoring its promises to the Native American and indigenous people, against pollution, against Hate and Racism, against Capitalism, against Modern Day Slavery, against the loss of our natural ecosystems, forests, coral reefs, endangered animals. So with that introduction we welcome you and ask that you help to support the RED EARTH BLUES MOVEMENT, and we leave you with this statement by the artist himself:
I Black Child Red , descendant of the Choctaw, Maya, and Mother Africa will use my weapons(music ,poetry ,art)to make war upon the corrupt government who threatens our natural lands and environments. I will call my Revolution the Red Earth Revolution, and my music, Red Earth Blues. So to all my brothers and sisters, elders, mothers, children of the earth..I shall stand with you and offer my music to you, and with The Creators blessing, may my music reach the four corners of the earth, to help bring change and healing, peace and understanding. Yakoke (Thankyou) and let us Itanowat iah(Walk Together), for this walk will be a long one, but a Great one.

"Sometimes insecurities write the songs We sings And strings pulled on our hearts play along Don't forget me songs I think about you when I'm gone Thats why I don't stay far away from air I've got to breath You Near me No matter where I go Know that I won't be playing long No matter what you hear These will always be your songs Heavy thoughts will clear When my work is done
It's just a stage a play Engineered Love lies on display Dreams and fears And if we're faithful there'll be tears
Leaving reaching hands The smoke will clear I'll wave false hopes away And soon be gone
Hoping you'll see me through the fog I'll leave my heart right here Least I lose it in the dark Illusive Atmosphere And think it's what I really want
Sometimes fear of losing writes the songs we sing And strings pulling our thoughts play along Don't you miss me songs? What do you do without me when you're gone? Why can't I breath the air? Another minute will be too long It's just the "At Most Fear" Way we've been living Writing songs
It's just a stage a play Engineered Love lies on display Dreams and fears And if we're faithful, there'll be tears"
He took to the streets shouting Pumping his fist in the air A failed comedian Who's one and only joke had just gotten him curious stares The punch line stuck in his mind He'd gone completely blind With insanity He repeated it endlessly Hoping to find a laugh People witnessing his melt down Gained courage And followed Letting out all of their pent up sorrows Eventually He went down in history As the brave man who came out of nowhere To save tomorrow
With his rallying cry
"Bring back Big Fat Hope"
In other words May even your mistakes work out for you fabulously Have an unexpectedly successful rest of the week
