In Western Massachussetts Jeff Desroches (Vocals), Matt Demers (Guitar/Drums) , Shawn Mccann (Guitar) formed a band in October 2004. In May 2005, Matt Thomas (Bass). In Janunary 2007 completed the lineup to produce a distinct brutal hardcore sound. Ferocious breakdowns that pummel and vocals that slice through you like a columbian necktie. Intense and heavy, like waking up to a train wreck, chuggy to the max, beatdown breakdowns with a random melodic twist. Strong in hardcore breakdowns, metalcore rhythms, metal blast beats, and occasional tempo changes while keeping a unique heavy sound.
Topics include the worlds end, depression, the Iraq War, suicide, goals and dreams, violence prevelant in our society, and many more. Black Days Dawning is not straight edge, vegan, into trends, nor into any form of religion. We also have no problem with anyone who is. Black Days Dawning is just five guys who believe in what they want and do what they want. Black Days Dawning is about writing music that we like to hear, playing shows, meeting new people, and having fun. The band is currently producing a full length CD, Merchandise, and a Music Video.
