About me: B L A C K D E M S was founded in February 2005 in Houston, and has since become the premier African American political organization in the state of Texas.
The Mission of Blackdems is threefold. First, to EDUCATE the public on political and legislative issues that affect the African American Community.
Second, to EMPOWER African Americans by maximizing opportunities through political organizing, training future leaders,and uniting with other communities that desire positive change.
Third, to ENERGIZE African Americans to take a proactive, ownership-based approach to local community development and management.
