"You may have heard of him before. His first remix was Vampire Weekend’s “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” and it somehow found its way onto the airwaves of NPR and the BBC. His second remix got reviewed by a little magazine called 'Rolling Stone.' (check the Rolling Stone review!) His clothing line is being released over the next few months as a collaboration with the Atlanta t-shirt company Esperanza.

Only a year in the business and he’s already shared live bills with Diplo, the Black Lips, Tommie Sunshine, DJ Klever, Flosstradamus, Explosions in the Sky, KRS-One, the Toxic Avenger, Man Man, Futurecop! and the Black Kids to name a few.
He records with a busted old Toshiba laptop he bought with student-loan money. Everything gets fed through an old Gemini mixer and an old head amp that has some interesting effects on it, he also borrows sounds from the internet, rips stuff off of old vinyl, and use some old looping and effects pedals he and his roommates have lying around to help create sounds."
His remixes for the bands Vampire Weekend, Yeasayer, Fleet Foxes, and dance edits for the Bag Raiders DJs have been played all over the world.
A Black Dominoes live DJ set has the multi-genre tracklist of a DJ like Diplo or Girl Talk with the energy of a Black Lips show.
As his first year of DJing out and about came to a close, Kellen as Black Dominoes stayed busy, doing 7 gigs in 8 days, including the parties with Tommie Sunshine and Futurecop. Many things are in store for our boy in 2009...he did the runway theme to Nina Gleyzer's couture show for Fashion Week in NYC, he has a T-shirt line coming out as part of a collaboration with ESPERANZA ATL, and he is booking gigs and working on remixes that will pop up in the next few weeks...stay tuned...
In 2009 so far he has done DJ events in New York City, Boston, and Las Vegas among other cities.

hey u! how ya been? hope things are going good.
