They are based in southwestern Germany and have an average age of 21.<p> After a few band member changes, the best and current formation emerged in June of 2004. Their powerful and sophisticated stage performances have helped them win numerous newcomer contests. This provided them with the means for producing their first professional CD album, <b>"DAYS OF DEVOTION"</b>, in September of 2005. The album was praised highly by audiences and music journalists alike, which then led to the achievement of the distinguished "German Rock & Pop Award."<p> <i>BLACKDUST</i> has now followed up with their new EP, <b>"LIFE MEANS INSANITY"</b>, which consists of four new, full-force tracks. The disc is characterized by stomping guitars, catchy refrains, and straight lines, along with the quality of a modern recording production.<p></font></font> <br /><br /> Die vier Musiker von <i>BLACKDUST</i> mit einem Altersdurchschnitt von 21 Jahren fassen ihren Stil mit „Modern Metal" in Worte.<p> Nach ein paar Besetzungswechseln hat sich Juni 2004 die stärkste Formation herauskristallisiert. Mit ihren energiereichen und ausgefeilten Liveshows konnten sie schon zahlreiche Newcomer-Contests gewinnen, welche ihnen u.a. zur ersten professionellen CD-Produktion verhalf.
