Formed in the winter of 2003 under the name ACNO by two men. After a stuttring start due to a quit by one of the guitarists the band finally got off the ground quicker than expected as a two piece (drums + guitar) and gigged like this for 5 months before adding various Russells and Mikes as bassists. In the spring of 2005, the band changed their name to BLACK FICTION to coincide with the arrival of new vocalist Jenn Hardy.
Black Fiction are now a well established band, making a name for themselves already in Essex and even in Greater London
