* POOCHLATZ / JOSH LAY / GLASS CEILING – 'SPLIT ' BGDT 011 [CD-R, limited to 130 copies]
Josh Lay (also the drummer of Cadaver in Drag) kicks off with some unholy noise invocations. But don’t expect the typical full blast tornados, but a more sophisticated approach, which still sounds totally demented. Lay carefully places his sound, ranging from shrilling feedback assaults to deep analogue rumbling colored with bruises of white noise and spiked with industrial waste. What is remarkable about this recording is Lay’s ability to focus on musical tension, creating a claustrophobic and blessed out gem of contemporary noise terrorism. Poochlatz’s last release 'Cold Turkey' on BlackGapDeathTrap showed their fascination with the unholy rituals of Black- and Doom Metal. Now they are diving again into new directions, focusing on thunderous analogue-equipment abuse. Using tape machines, effect pedals and conventional instruments like a bass guitar, they create densed sonic structures, fuzzed out noise crescendos and screaming, head spinning vocal loops. Two tracks of mind bending, metallic psychedelia. Glass Ceiling hail from Cologne. Tracktitles like 'Pestpriest' and 'Stabbed with Bones' indicate where the musical journey goes on this CD-R. A steady drum machine pulse sets the scene and gets interwoven with electronics and crunchy guitar chaos. Everything ends in a mind sucking drone. Submit yourself to self-destruction. Limited to 130 copies. 7€ (postpaid)

* LANDING SWABS - 'JUICE OF PICTURES'
BGDT 010 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
Landing Swabs are Sebastian Hammerschmidt (check out his debut cd of pure laptop freakouts 'Rats = Arts = Star' on BlackGapDeathTrap too) and Matthias Schwarz. Operating in the territory of noise rock and free jazz, these two dudes fool around with found objects, microphones, percussions and synthesizers this time. On 'Juice of Pictures' Landing Swabs present two improvisations of precise and complex sound excursions. Amplified objects collide with crackling synths, fractured electronics get punctured by strange rhythmic interludes. Although everything was conceived on a purely analogue level, these recordings sound like coming straight from a harddisk. Landing Swabs are masters of sonic disguise. With the simplest tools they evoke concentrated sound distillations of pure abstract beauty.
If you are into the electronic side of MoHa! you´ll definitely love this release. 50 copies werde made. Be quick or be dead. 7€ (postpaid)

* BLODSPRUT - 'SUMMER IS CANCELLED'
BGDT 009 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
This is GRINDCORE in its purest form. With 'Summer is Cancelled' Anders Hanna (MoHa! / Ultralyd / Noxagt) and Patrick Petterson recorded a sonic statement of drastic metalic radicalism, paying tribute to the days of old school grind and mixing it up with some hysterical noise rock interludes. With just one guitar and two percussion kits they conjure complex rhythmic blasts, evil feedback tortures and interfuse them with demonic howls from the deepest pits of hell. Summer is definitely cancelled. Each Cdr comes with a different coverartwork. Get it fast. Only 50 copies were made. 7€ (postpaid)

* GLASS CEILING - 'BLOOD GARAGE'
BGDT 008 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
Imagine being locked in a dark garage, smelling the stench of fresh blood and hearing the muffled screams of other victims, waiting for their sure death.
After 'Fog of Execution' (released on BlackGaps sublabel Gay Wizard), Glass Ceiling strike back with another full blast assault which will make your ears bleed and your bowels collapse. On 'Blood Garage' the duo of Raphael Smarzoch (guitar, electronics) and Daniel Laig (guitar, vocals, electronics) evoke psychedelic thunderstorms out of the deepest basements of blood ridden Cologne. Everything sounds so wrong. Fucked up guitar feedbacks and mangled chords get swallowed by the buzz of misused equipment and mixer abuse into one of the darkest black holes ever. Expect Pure Cosmic Destruction! 7€ (postpaid)

* SEBASTIAN HAMMERSCHMIDT - 'RATS=ARTS=STAR'
BGDT 007 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
'Rats=Arts=Star' is the debut album of Cologne based computer musician Sebastian Hammerschmidt. His sonic excursions focus on the mathematics of electronic glitch sounds, which are interfused with melodic interludes, noisy breakdowns and strange rhythmic developments. Although Hammerschmidt’s compositions and improvisations show an interest in academic sound research, they never get into the rut of becoming to complicated or even dogmatic. His tracks always have a catchy side, sometimes they even sound like electronically deconstructed pop songs. However they still retain an otherwordly abstractness constituted by unusual harmonic structures, playful arrangements and weird digital textures.
'Rats=Arts=Star' should definitely appeal to people who like the works of Belgian soundcrafters Tuk and KöHN or even the scientific experiments of laptop wizard Florian Hecker. 7€ (postpaid)

* POOCHLATZ - 'COLD TURKEY'
BGDT 006 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
The extreme styles of Heavy Metal are conquering the world of experimental musics. At least that’s what we think (and propably millions of other people too…). Since Sunn O))) started to combine the lore of drone music with the slow-motion butchery of Doom Metal, more and more bands began to experiment with the language of extreme metal, creating a blend of different styles and tones. It seems that nearly all of them have one thing in common: The love for Noise. Maybe Poochlatz from Israel always had a connection with the darker side of musical expression but their debut record 'Victims of self Preservation' didn’t inhale the poisoned air of Black-, Death- or Doom-Metal yet but explored the miraculous detonations of cracked analogue effect units, static-fuzz storms and inhuman screams wrapped into ribbons of barbed wire.
With their newest work 'Cold Turkey' - which is going to be released on BlackGapDeathTrap soon - things have changed dramatically. Poochlatz must have been inspired by the demented rituals of bands like Abruptum, Wold or Emit. Forging their musickal vocabulary into the lament of reverb soaked guitar attacks, thunderous electronic shrieks and demonic vokills, Poochlatz create an unexpected milestone of contemporary metal avantgardism. ::::PURE KVLT:::: 7€ (postpaid)

* KYLIE MINOISE - 'JUNKY EROTICA' BGDT 005
[CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
Whenever I listen to Kylie Minogue I’m reminded of Kylie Minoise. What a coincidence, you’ll think now….he he he. If Kylie Minogue would like the music of Lea Cummings alias Kylie Minoise is an issue which shouldn’t be discussed here. To be honest with you: I don’t think so. Cummings evokes pure washes of white noise, combines them with ecstatic screams and drowns everything in shimmering feedback clouds. His analogue thunderstorms breathe the blood ridden electronic squeals of former noise terrorists like Masonna, Prurient or Hanatarash. Armed with a microphone and some fx pedals Minoise evokes outbursts of pure noise which will make you loose your mind. If you don’t believe it, than check out JUNKY EROTICA on BlackGapDeathTrap Records. 7€ (postpaid)

* ALTAR OF FLIES - 'DEAD AIR, BROKEN WINGS' extended edition
BGDT 004 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
Altar Of Flies (Mattias Gustafsson from Sweden) evokes on his newest release for BlackGapDeathTrap 'Dead Air, Broken Wings' - the ritualistic atmospheres of classical industrial sounds with the downtuned sludge of contemporary drone music, rooted in the blasphemical aura of doom metal. His music translates the foreign shimmers of extraterrestial galaxies into the ghostly language of Lovecraft’s most unsettling fantasies. His use of pulsating rhythms, locked grooves, haunting radio statics, dynamic shiftings and uncanny sounds reveals the handscript of a musician who is carefully planing his sonic actions to abduct his listeners into a world of mindbending hypnosis. Beware !
In case you're wondering: “Dead Air, Broken Wings” has been released on cassette too, but our CD-R version contains an extra track of this ghostly music. 7€ (postpaid)

* JOSH LAY - 'SNAKE IN BLACK WATERS' european edition
BGDT 003 [CD-R, limited to 50 copies]
Yes, this record is a short experience. But holy shit…. It’s a tensed one for sure. Josh Lay has been obsessed with torturing musical frequencies for a while now. His discography displays the vast field of D.I.Y. CDR and MC overkill. Normally you have to be quick (or be dead) to grap one of those little gems, which are mostly limited to 50-100 pieces. “Snake in Black Waters” is a record, which sold out immediately. So we realised that it is time to rerelease this disturbing noisekiller once again. Of course we burned a limited amount of CDRs - as we do with all of our records - so that you can get angry again, in case you still couldn’t get a hold on it. Believe me, there are some copies left….
If you are afraid of snakes and other amphibian vermin, you should not listen to Josh Lay’s 'Snake In Black Waters'. They are everywhere… Feedback Boas, White Noise Mambas, Guitar Cobras and last but not least the poisonous bites of the Moluccan flying Snake. The first track ‘Snake’ is a classic noise workout with harsh feedback sounds evoking long and forgotten gods. In the second track 'Black Waters' the feedback ringing gets tamed and enters more hypnotic terrain with spaced out drones and psychedelic rumblings. Great stuff. 7€ (postpaid)
