About me:
Black Ink Films is a Baltimore based independent film production company founded by Writer/Director, Aaron Gentzler, and Producer, Stacie Jones.
AARON GENTZLER has just completed a new script called Edge City, and will be teaching another Screenwriting Class this spring/summer at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore. His western, A VENGEFUL SONG, about a piano player from St. Louis who must leave his family and travel West to investigate his brother's suspicious death, was named a Quarterfinalist in the 2008 BlueCat Screenplay Competition. A VENGEFUL SONG, along with Aaron's other screenplays, EDGE CITY, EIGHT YEARS FROM HOME, THE UNSPOKEN TRUTH and ATLANTIC CITY are on review/in development.
STACIE JONES is currently in development on several independent films for 2009. In 2008, she has also worked on the Sundance Selection TOE TO TOE (Pureland Pictures), STAGS (Barenholtz Productions), JUJU: THE WITCHDOCTOR CHRONICLES (Screenscope Pictures), GOOD PEOPLE (Lewis Entertainment), and UNRAVELING MICHELLE (Absolute Independent Pictures).

Aaron Gentzler's Current Projects:
A VENGEFUL SONG (feature): Placed in the Quarterfinals of the 2008 BlueCat SCreenplay Competition. IN DEVELOPMENT.
THE UNSPOKEN TRUTH (feature): Currently in-development to be shot in and around Baltimore in 2009-2010.
ATLANTIC CITY: Jack Devereaux, a professional Atlantic City gambler, must battle his past and his battered conscience during the wildest weekend of the summer. ON SUBMISSION.
EIGHT YEARS FROM HOME: An immigrant who comes to the United States in search of a new life finds one far more complicated and challenging than any he could have left behind. ON SUBMISSION.
THE PASSING short: A 25-minute short film, starring Johnny Alonso and Clayton Myers, is about two couples that are best friends and find themselves dealing with the unexpected loss of one of the foursome. COMPLETE.
THE CIRCUS ELEPHANT: The sparse, character-driven story about a couple's crumbling marriage starring Lisa Rogers and Irv Becker. ON THE BACK BURNER DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS.
