I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
In the short time that The Black Jackals have been together, they have already racked up some pretty impressive achievements; they have been featured as The Next Big Thing on Liverpool's Juice FM, performed 3 sessions for BBC Merseyside (whom also named them as Unsigned Band of the Month), and they have rocked their way through over 100 gigs up and down the country so far. The highlights of some of these have been show stealing performances at Liverpool Music Week, The Mathew St Festival (Europe's biggest free festival) and the IPO Festival. The band has also had some truly memorable nights at venues such as The Borderline, The Cafe de Paris, The Rock Garden and the Liverpool and Manchester Academies.
For The Black Jackals, playing live is what it's all about; apart from it being the best way to get out and meet like minded people, it's also when they truly come alive and get to show what they are capable of; the bigger the occasion the bigger the performance, they never fail. When you listen to their songs you can hear that they are influenced by everything that is great and good about music while at the same time striving to find a sound that is their own. As it is for most unsigned bands, decent studio time is a rare luxury but when the band get the opportunity they get a real buzz out of being able to get creative, to develop and expand the songs that they have already put their hearts and souls into.
"The Black Jackals have got the tunes; their music just sucks you in; from the driving space rock intro of Untitled, the turbo charged dance swagger that is Demons, right down to the pure ass shakability of Take My Soul this band leave you no choice but to groove"
