Blackland Farmers is a musical project by Lee and Christopher Spiller, a father and son duo, featuring a revolving and hopefully growing list of friend/bandmates.
Chris and Lee write their own brand of family based music inspired by the personal misadventures of themselves, their relatives, their friends and what ever moves them. What started as a project dedicated to their favorite "bad uncles" (the kind of uncles kids love and parents worry about) was changed quickly by the incredible artwork of Kelly Megan O'Brien. Her CD cover,
which graces this page inspired a new name and a nod to the Central Texas Blacklands Lee and Chris both knew in their youth.
Hopefully you'll enjoy this project. We are using you as guinea pigs, so what you think of individual songs could have a definite impact on what makes it on the upcoming CD.
Lee, if you want to write names in the snow, we have got 8-12" in the North in Kansas...you can dot your "i"s and cross your "t's till the cows come home, so to speak...
