Black Magic is a feeling, but not in that House kind of way. It is the approaching click of stilettos on wet stone, it is the chill that makes you hairs stand on end. Black Magic is the vampires' kiss that leaves you swooning, it is the deafening pulse cutting through the dead of night.
During its active period, Black Magic presented a series of events in Boston dedicated to dark arts and sounds. Blending classic Industrial and EBM with modern Techno and Electro, the party fostered a sound that was decidedly spooky but with a strong focus towards the future. Every event was conceived as a total work of art; visuals, lighting and attire all worked in support of the music to paint a complete picture of Black Magic's nu-dark philosophy.
Indeed the events' producers may have been into something as the party was even given the nod by none other than Mr. DJ Hell himself, who commented that the party was similar to the work he himself has been doing for the past 10 years.
In addition to mind-expanding sets by local residents Volvox, Justincredible, Mistaker and David Day, Black Magic also brought Mobilee superstars Pan-Pot to Boston. Click below to stream their set from the party courtesy of RBMA Radio

Black Magic were also early supporters of electro-maximalists Motor, who are now on a major stadium tour supporting Depeche Mode!
Enjoy this classic vidvite from our May 2007 party!
I just heard a promo for Black Magic on WZBC's concert report. They said it was being done with Bass(pronounced like the fish)town and DJ'd by Justin Incredible. Ha!
