About Black Market

BLACK MARKET was founded in 1999 by KAZ-MIR and LADY P of D.F.E. STREET PLATINUM PRODUCTIONS. The main purpose for BLACK MARKET was to create a group of artists from all over the U.S. to form one common union. BLACK MARKETS current roster consists of KAZ-MIR, hailing from Augusta, GA. and DEEP THOUGHTS from Brooklyn, NY. BLACK MARKET means the underground way of acquiring goals by creating a path for yourself. Being self-sufficient and independent is one of BLACK MARKETS main focuses. Some of our other goals are: Benefit concerts and promotional tours for African American communities in the U.S. Open Forums with people in the community as well as with community leaders. Teaching independence and entrepreneurship Giving a voice to disenfranchised youths Promoting good and uplifting music Through this vision we saw that along the way there were a lot of people esp. kids affected by the Hip Hop culture which we embody. We just wanted to initiate a plan to do things for our local community. BLACK MARKET released its first album, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR in 2005, and the sales have been moving steadily ever since. BLACK MARKET wants to continue to promote ourselves as artist and generate a community fan base to aid our communities. When you listen to DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, I want you to know that not only did we Executive produce and Arrange our independent release, but we also designed the CD label, covers and other promotional items. The first single MARKET PLACE has been broadcasted on stations such as 91.5fm (WRPI), and its building a buzz in the streets of Albany, NY. Our future goal is to form an independent label under the D.F.E. STREET PLATINUM PRODUCTIONS moniker and began to educate people on the music industry and other areas surrounding the mechanics of the entertainment business. Our motto is to SUPPORT LOCAL ARTIST and through D.F.E. STREET PLATINUM PRODUCTIONS, we can continue to make good music and increase not only our fan base but also our movement. I got me a stalker! Ole boy was harrassing me at first. Then he started with the blocked number and hanging up on me but talking to my mom when she would answer! So I called the cops and filed a report. I got it to where if you call my house with a blocked number you can't get through. So we shall see if ole boy got some balls to call my house NOW with his number NOT blocked and he'll see what a real bitch is!! A cop called me back today and said if he calls again that I needed to call him and we could get a warrent out on him!! So it's a done deal really. I said it once, twice, three times.
