About Black Monday

Black Monday is a punk rock n' roll band from Los Angeles. Our sound combines gritty street punk with the lust and attitude of the Los Angeles hot rod scene. Too rock n roll to be punk, and too punk to be rockabilly, Black Monday's signature sound is a throwback to the days when rock was dangerous because it was significant.

Singer and Guitarist Jorge Rosas was a founding member of Lester, a notorious East LA punk band. He met Bassist Rusty Sanchez in a Recycler ad. Lead Guitarist Dave Leyva is an old friend of Rusty's from the Lone Star State. The most recent addition to the band is drummer Scott Peterson. Scott was a founding member of the seminal Los Angeles punk band Cryptic Slaughter.

Currently Black Monday is in the studio working on their first full-length CD "Broken Hearts & Broken Bones" with Producer Blasko of Ozzy Osbourne former Rob Zombie.
