THE MUSIC
The Black Ops Agency is currently conducting ops in a tactical and trance-inducing way, utilizing guitar soloing and sound exploration along a deeply manic rhythm to take wild turns, fake stops, and long detours into musical expression.
The Black Ops music Project began covert operations a little over seven years ago, operating behind the scenes to establish an open field for local operatives dedicated to enhancement of intelligence, creativity, exposure, and general freeing of that ass in the Springfield IL area.
To that end, Agents X and 9 took their alliance within the umbrella of the organization known as the Springfield Concert Web and made a call to similar agents, working either independently or within other local affiliations, who shared their dreams of coalition-building among the local music scene. Agent X received orders to complete a top secret mission with the Disaster Radio Network and the band recently finished with their new recording at True Tone Studios, Kyle Kerouac, engineer. The recording can be heard above, "Beautiful Helmet."
The mission continues, with gigs planned at Capitol City Bar & Grill as well as new all ages shows planned at places such as Breadstretchers, Chrome, and as always at Black Sheep Cafe. We commandeer the parallel to achieve transmission of the will of the Light, from influencing each other and fostering growth to the realization of the Great Dream of the Order: that all bands would play together on the same stage at the same time.
