As a product of a non- traditional up-bringing, Germaine "Kash" Woods experienced first hand music’s power to give life, to inspire, to free and to provide a momentary escape from life’s struggles and unfavorable circumstances. It would be many years later that he would fully comprehend music’s potential to be an antidote to what plagued many minorities in America- poverty. Understanding this possibility coupled with his belief that music is a foundation for social change, Germaine began to associate with the local D.J.s, host show cases and produce & distribute mix cds. He additionally serves as an advisor to many aspiring artists, D.J.s and producers, during which time Germaine enhances both his personal friendship repertoire and establishes a valuable contact base with many performers, their companies and production companies.
Richard Renaud also know as Churd, proved his desire to be a rapper after displaying his raw skills to his cousin Germaine(Kash) in 2003. While Kash was busy working on his demo album, Churd was constantly in the studio recording and writing with him. After one year he was well improved and now ready to stand on his own two. Kash then formed the group TPB(Tha Paper Boyz) which consist of Churd, Kash and Young Cutty. Churd definitely shines all throughout the album which is still in the finishing stages. Churd is definitely going to be a problem. He's a diamond in the rough as Kash would say but he's going to shine.Look out for his solo project coming soon.
Daquwan Mcnealy also know as Young Cutty joined the Blackowt camp shortly after Churd. The three of them were all close friends and participated in a positive rap group together. After Cutty heard the material that Kash and Churd were putting out he talked to Kash about doing some music together and because the love was already there, it was all good. He recorded a verse on the song Ryder and a few other songs on Kash's album. Because Cutty was a natural there wasn't a lot of work to be done. He's currently in the studio working on the TPB album as well as his own solo album. This young man has a promising future in the music industry and with the determination and drive that Blackowt ENT has. He's going to get his shot soon.
