About me: The Grand Theatre is an 1100-seat theatre designed by Frank Matcham in 1894. This amazing space is a wonder of restoration and revival, presenting a full range of every performing artform, as Blackpool's community theatre, Lancashire's preferred opera house and Britain's National Theatre of Variety.
May brings Victoria Wood’s delightful comedy dinnerladies with original cast members Andrew Dunn as Tony and Shobna Gulati as Anita. And Willy Russell’s legendary musical Blood Brothers will be breaking hearts and no doubt box office records again in June with star cast to be announced. And there’s much, much more...
Grand Theatre General Manager, Neil Thomson, said: “As with previous seasons at the Grand, we are continuing to give patrons value for money and in most cases offer ticket prices that are extremely competitive compared with City-based theatres.
“Blackpool’s Grand continues to evolve with the aspiration of becoming the number one touring theatre in the North West. This, of course, will only be achieved with your much appreciated support.”

Just seen a news report on TV about the revamped Grand Theatre and I have to say it's looking fantastic!! Congratulations and well done to everyone involved for all their hard work. I look forward to coming to see South Pacific soon to see the 'new look' Grand for myself! All the best Mel xXx
Thanks so much for the info! It's quite a task isn't it?!! I'm sure it'll look fantastic once it's done, can't wait to see the 'new look' Grand. Mel xXx
Hi there! How's the restoration going? Hope all is well at The Grand, and I look forward to coming back to the theatre when the work is complete! All the best Mel xXx
I love this theatre, I have been on the theatre tour many times. This is the place I'd love to work (Box office & front of house trained.. so if ever lol I'll move lol). Thanks for adding me.
Was the first time at The Grand on Saturday to see Blood Brothers for about the 11th time I think!! So many I've lost count!! What a fabulous theatre! Had front row tickets and as always the show was great and made even better by the overall 'comfiness' of the theatre - I'll definitely be back!
Having been going to see shows at The Grand since a young age, I have to say that The Grand is by far one of the best theatres in the UK. It's a beautiful theatre and has put on some of the best shows in Blackpool.
My Uncle (Frankie Whittle) knows some of the staff at The Grand, and visits regularly as he too lives and works in Blackpool (as a singer/entertainer and in theatre productions up and down the country) and has done for most of his life. I too am an avid theatre goer as I mentioned, I love all kinds of theatre shows (mainly musicals) and am currently studying for my BA(hons) in Humanities and Music (with a keen interest in Live sound).
I'll be visiting The Grand's MySpace page regularly, and will continue to visit the theatre regularly also. I'll do my bit to help spread the word about The Grand Theatre and the wonderful shows there.
I wish you all the best and I'll be back at the theatre soon no doubt to see yet another fabulous show.
Hey to all at the grand, did a gig a couple of weeks ago, was great atmosphere, to be honest when I turned up i was so tierd, but the venue and blackpool audience soon got me going, thanks for a great gig.
I love going to the theatre, Musicals are my favourite - any! i just love them! Ive been to see a few shows at the Grand but my last one was The Circus of Horros which was fantastic!
Im going to see Rocky Horror on 22/06 and i cant wait to see it!! Be a great show!
