I'm an avid listener of underground hip-hop through the ages of all styles and origins. I also do a bit of hip-hop in various collectives or solo. I know what you mean about getting back to listening to "normal" music, I've been listening to mostly trade music as well for a while, and I've still got a lot of unlistened cd's and tapes that are begging my ear, but sometimes you need to take a step back, listen to something NOT QUITE as experimental, break up the monotony a bit, and then re-listen to things with a new appreciation for it.
I'm glad you got my package. This takes a good deal of stress from my mind. Sorry about the massive delay, things have been pretty rough around here and it took a little while to get back on my feet, but alas, I shan't be defeated so easily by forces greater than my own control. You just gotta adapt and move with the swings.
I'm pretty upset about EWF3 being cancelled, there were a lot of people I needed to meet, a lot of touring to be done, a lot of collaborating with artists I admire and that all went down the tubes when my jumping-off point was shattered. So I may be coming to Texas in January or February instead of December. We're still recovering around here, things are better than they were, but it's going to take a little while to get back to full power, what with gear being gone, continued financial difficulties and so on. 2010 though, it's going to be a new and more optimistic year, I can feel it.
We should do another trade sometime, maybe in a month when I have more releases in stock, we've just about run ourselves barren with the massive amount of trade packages I've sent out over this last month or so. And still many more packages made up ready to be sent to the post office, and many more not made up that I still need to fill.
We will meet in time I'm sure, and we will play a show together though, of this I am certain :)

Yes brother that might be one of my all-time favourite hip-hop songs ever, perhaps my favourite Aesop song or close to it. Very good release. And I hate to break it to you, but that record isn't exactly "new" ;)
Btw, have you received my package yet, I sent it a little over a week ago. I'm hoping it's arrived by now. Otherwise I'ma have to shake some postal workers by the throat. You'll remember mine, it's big and covered in spray paint (most-likely) and probably says "NOISE!" on the back of it.
