(ENG) BLACK RAVEN is a new band from north-east of Italy devoted to the classic and direct sound of HEAVY METAL. The band was born from the common passion for the metal music of Marco (bass guitar) and Giovanni (guitar). Then Francesco (drums) entered the band after some changes in the line-up. In 2004 Claudio ”The Reaper” from the rock band "Flow" entered the band on the second guitar and also Andrea “Sax” on vocals came to complete the team. With the new complete line-up the band started to write own songs and to prepare covers of big metal bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth… Finally in September 2005, Black Raven play live for the very first time and in 2006 the band plays a lot of gigs. In these years, Black Raven receives a lot of support from headbangers in all music contests. In the first months of 2007, the band recorded the first Demo-cd called “The Day Of The Raven” with 5 songs, available now (CONTACT US AND GET IT!!!). Now the band search a label interested to produce the first full length, available soon.
(ITA) I BLACK RAVEN sono una nuova band dalla provincia di Gorizia fedele al sound classico e diretto dell'HEAVY METAL. Il gruppo nasce dalla comune passione per il metal di Marco (basso) e Giovanni (chitarra), seguiti subito da Francesco (batteria) entrato nella band dopo alcuni cambi di formazione. Nel corso del 2004 la line-up diventa quella attuale con l'entrata di Claudio "The Reaper" alla chitarra e Andrea "Sax" alla voce. Una volta stabilizzata la line-up comincia la composizione di pezzi propri e la preparazione di cover (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, ...) che permette alla band di effettuare il debutto dal vivo avvenuto nel settembre del 2005, seguito poi da numerosi concerti nel 2006, fra cui l’apparizione al festival "Fusi di Rock" di Turriaco.
Il 2007 si apre con le migliori intenzioni di entrare in studio e durante il mese di Marzo la band termina di registrare il primo demo-cd intitolato “The Day Of The Raven” con 5 pezzi, ora disponibile al pubblico (PER AVERLO CONTATTATECI!!!).
Ora la band sta cercando un etichetta interessata a produrre il primo album.

Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.

Ciao ti comunichiamo i prossimi eventi che faremo nel mese di Luglio per poi andare in ferie e ripartire con la stagione invernale! Sabato prossimo 18 Luglio i The Sentinel la tribute band dei Judas Priest suonerà per noi all'ippodromo delle cascine di Firenze (via del Pegaso 1)
Ed il sabato dopo (sabato 25 Luglio), sempre all'Ippodromo Le Mulina delle Cascine é il momento del ritorno dei grandissimi Story of Jade che presenteranno nuovi pezzi e nuovo repertorio e con una scenografia horror come sempre suggestiva ed affascinante.

Ciao ritornati dal Gods of Metal dove abbiamo lasciato ben 4000 copie della nuova compilation "Invasione Totale Vol.3" andiamo avanti con la nostra stagione estiva. Il prossimo sabato 4 luglio 2009 nell'incantevole zona della cascine di Firenze, precisamente all'Ippodromo Le Mulina, suoneranno i rinnovati Dragonia, che da ormai un po' di tempo si sono presentati con una nuova veste e nuova strumentazione (mic ad archetto, chitarra 8 corde e keytar solo per dirne alcune) interpretando uno show molto avvincente.
Inoltre ti vogliamo segnalare anche un altro grande evento del nostro caro amico Trevor dei Sadist: Metal Valley che si terrà sabato 11 luglio all'Area Expo di Genova con un bill notevole: Entombed, Rotting Christ, Necrodeath, Dark Lunacy, Coram Lethe, Ritual Rebirth, Bad Bones, Kadavar. Vietato Mancare!!!
I am now
recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These
cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment)
for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon
Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
