About Black River Project (Split up but new CD on way!)
News update:
Well big news in the BRP camp... The end of the year also see's the end of the Project!!!
We don't want to mess around with any bullsh*tty wording so it's easy just to come out and say that after much deliberation Paul could no longer commit to the project. Ady, Dave and Me have had some time to get used to the idea and everything is sorted... We are all still the bestest chummers and always will be to be honest. The idea of getting another vocalist is not in the equation either, BRP was a fully combined effort and if any of the four of us left it would change what we are and what we are about so that’s it really, no fighting, no rock and roll "musical differences", just time to move onwards and upwards.
As a little recap we'd like to point out that BRP started as a bit of fun with no intentions of even doing a gig so 5 years down the line having gigged all over the country with some top bands having way too much fun and booze to shifting what we calculate to be around 6000 CD's, being voted the 6th best unsigned band in Terrorizer and playing to a great crowd at BOA it's much much much more than we ever expected!
We've made some darn good friends along the way and we want to big up everyone for making the past 5 years such good fun. Special thanks to Dean and the Inbreds, Subliminal Fear, Phat Jerusalem (and of course Becca!), F.A.T.E, Isaiah, Jaz, Denounce, Allerjen, The Hicks, Omnuim Gatherum, Internal Conflict, Matt and Retribution and so many more.. In a small way you've all lessened the life of our livers!

This does NOT affect the Hostile night at Retribution which is handled by Ady. This will continue to bring the people of Leicester top music and top bands...
Who knows, some or even all of us may appear in other places but the Project is closing it's doors on December 29th 2007.

Some chav dole scum sucking wank fuck of a cunt flap has STOLEN THE TANGE! Yup who would have thought that anyone thought it was worth nicking, but yup the scummy little twat munchers have had away with it.
Loads of you nice people out there know the Tange and have partied/slept/drank/smoked/eaten pasties in the Tange so you know how much it will be missed. Tange R.I.P.
If anyone in Leicester spots the tange please point and yell the following at the occupants, "OI THEIVING CHAV CUNT, GIVE IT BACK!". Thanks!

Hello! the Darren Macer poetry experience are getting back together for a few months before people go off to uni! Gonna try and cram as much stuff in as possible up until September/October!

Retribution have provided the best rock night in Leicester for nearly 6 years.
As of May 2008 Leicester Square Venue have decided they’d like to promote their own Saturday night therefore Retribution will be moving.
This is your rock night, your scene, your culture.
The people who make it happen, all the DJs, management and bar staff who have always been with us since Oxygen/ Sector 5 will be moving with us.
Please be aware that there is no link between this and what happened to Panic. It’s an unfortunate coincidence, the Panic DJs chose to leave Leicester Square, Retribution hasn’t been given a choice.
As always we would love to hear your opinions on recent events, how you feel about Leicester Square and where you’d like to see Retribution next.

Hey Black River Project (Split up but new CD on way!)! This is LiXu formerly of UK metal band Balance of Silence. I moved over to Hong Kong, stole the old BoS profile and now have a new Rock & Roll / Metal supergroup based in Hong Kong by the name of Gong Wu! You once commented on our old band and hopefully it was a positive comment you left! Our new music is very different but we are rapidly gaining ground over here in Asia. It will only be a matter of time before we will be going worldwide. Please come and check out our last demo we completed last month. If you like what you hear please help support in any way you can as we need your help! Tell your gran, auntie, whatever, every little helps eh? Anyway we will be back in the studio in May to record a Professional record which will wipe the floor with our mega rushed promo tracks.
