BSP is a collaboration between tim smyth (thatboytim of takeover records)
and artist/musician Stephen Rennicks
(Secret Society, Ancient Records, Drexciya Research Lab etc etc!)
which began late 2004 when they both lived in dublin.
with intention to try to marry the more abstract sound of stephen's secret
society sound and the rhythmic and bass obsessions of tim their first track
"curl" appeared on takeover 6 "lowslung" - not bowing to dancefloor demands,
but still acknowledging their influence.
the rest of the lp was formed from a combination of collaborative ventures
and solo material produced over the next 2 years which fitted the criteria
for the brooding, yet warm and evocative , vibe designed to touch your dark
hearts and rumble your speakers.
so we have "transmute" - a journey into the depths of our own dark souls,
emerging forever changed.
I have to tell you about another new release of mine. It's my new album, recorded live at the legendary Substance club. It's a 74 min digital download. Most of which is brand new material. I hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

Custom returns to the airwaves with a bang this Friday with one of Glasgows finest electronic producers "Galaxian" performing an exclusive live set, especially prepared for Subcity and performed live from the Subcity studios. NoFACE will be taking care of the first half hour with a selection of fresh riddims for you to get your ears around!
